Meet Nathan, a remarkable young man who one day hopes to be placed with the right family for him. Nathan has an incredible imagination! He is also creative and artistic. Nathan enjoys building marionettes, and has done this by using unused household items. He finds joy in various hobbies including computer design, Legos, video games, and puzzles. Nathan would like a family that can support, encourage, and even help with his creative side. He feels it is appropriate for parents to strongly encourage young people to branch out beyond their comforts to engage in something that they are talented at but might be reluctant to try. Nathan hopes for a family that not only understands his creativity but can see the value and beauty in anything. Nathan has had a tough journey most of his life, but he has remained resilient and hopeful. His advice, "Don't give up, never give up, I'm not going to give up!"

Nathan's permanency team feels that a family with experience and/or knowledge regarding trauma-informed parenting, or the willingness to learn, is really important.  Along with being trauma-informed, knowledge and/or experience in the area of meeting specific developmental needs would also be very helpful.  Nathan will benefit from a family that can meet him where he is at by beginning anew each day and one that can teach him the life skills he needs as an emerging young adult, while supporting his creative abilities. Nathan needs a family that can work with him to explore other experiences and opportunities outside of the home as well.

If you feel that you would be a good fit for Nathan and could share his interests while providing him with the love; patience; acceptance; structure; opportunities for growth; and a commitment that will help him continue to grow and thrive into adulthood, please contact the Idaho CareLine today or inquire below.
