Substance Abuse Training
To this end, the Center has a Substance Abuse (SA) Training Specialist on staff, who provides or arranges for :
to promote the integration of substance abuse treatment and education among Family and Children Services (FACS) programs, staff, foster parents, parents, community partners, providers and students statewide who are serving FACS clients. The Specialist provides training and program development for FACS Division staff, parents, community partners and resource families on the following topics:
The FACS/SA Training Specialist also participates in the Idaho Educators of Addiction Studies (IDEAS) meetings, the Addiction Technology Transfer Consortium (ATTC) Network, and SA Workforce Development meetings which add to opportunities to improve the integration of the substance abuse treatment system and other FACS programs. The FACS SA Specialist is available to work with FACS Division staff, regional Children and Family Services (CFS) Program Managers and staff, central office and regional Adult Mental Health/Developmental Disabilities (MH/DD) Program Managers and staff, the Regional Substance Abuse Authorities (RSAAs), the SA Primary Service Contractor, and sub-contract clinicians.
